This competition, which recognizes young student artists who have studied Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, is an amazing opportunity to reward those who are actively engaging with such important knowledge. Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta were two pivotal figures in the political and social movements of the 1960s and 1970s. As dedicated activists, they challenged racial, gender and economic disparities in the U.S. to bring about effective change for migrant farm workers and Latinx communities.
